As many as 1944 polling stations to function throughout Moldova

In the parliamentary elections due on 5 April, the Moldovan citizens will be able to exercise their right to vote at 1977 polling stations, including 1944 opened on the Moldovan territory and 33 under Moldova’s diplomatic missions and consular sections abroad.

In line with the Electoral code, the voting is to take place from 7:00 a.m. till 09:00 p.m. The people will be able to vote on the basis of their identity cards, or ex-soviet type passports, the model of year 1974. The citizens will also be able to vote on the basis of temporary identity cards F-9 type.

The Moldovans abroad will be able to vote basing on the Moldovan entry/exit passports, even if the validity term has expired.

The voters will also be able to vote basing on the permanent or temporary visas with the expired validity term.

This year’s electoral lists include over 2,5 millions of voters. The lists are made public no latter than 20 days before the election day. The citizens are able to check the accuracy of the electoral lists on 16 – 31 March.

The voters who can not attend the elections on 5 April due to health reasons or other, can submit a formally request to the poling office of the local station requesting the mobile ballot box at home.
