An open dialogue between Moldova and Transnistria was held
Moldova and Transnistria will resume their joint railway traffic and will issue the schedule of the trains soon. The decision was taken during the official talks between the Moldovan Prime-Minister, Vlad Filat and the leader of Transnistria, Evgheny Shevchuk at their meeting held in the Ukrainian city of Odessa yesterday.
Another project will re-establish the landline and mobile phone connections on the territory of Transnistria.
After talks, Vlad Filat expressed his gratitude on the results of the discussions saying that they could come up with an agreement to establish an open and constant dialogue.
Evgheny Shevchuk said that his talks with Filat were good ones and thanked Ukraine for supporting this meeting. He welcomed the openness of Chisinau regarding the management of the current issues, underlying the problems in the economic field.
The counterparts also talked about 5+2 negotiations format and the terms to be discussed at the next forum.
This is the first official talk between Chisinau and Tiraspol after the presidential elections from Transnistria in 2011. The second round of 5+2 negotiations will be held in February in Dublin, Ireland.
