AMN: democratic force’s duty to save Moldova from Communists
The Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) is convinced it is democratic formations' sacred duty to ‘save our Motherland from the Communists’, AMN leader Serafim Urechean stated on Wednesday. He said that during the 8 years of a complete state power, the Communists have compromised democracy as such and have established a dictatorship in the country.
In his opinion, the Communist authorities have inflicted a serious damage to Moldova's international image and interests, have failed to fulfill the RM-EU Individual Partnership Action Plan, and have decelerated negotiations on concluding a new cooperation agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. He also remarked the Republic of Moldova has set a deplorable record, remaining for 14 years under the Council of Europe's monitoring - as a defaulter unable to reform its prosecution and judiciary organs.
Besides this, he said, Moldova has lost nearly 200 cases in the European Court of Human Rights and, as a result, has already repaid over 300 million lei from the State Budget in compensation of damage to case winners.
‘Presently, another 1,820 cases, initiated against the Government of Moldova, are being examined at the ECHR. So, the compensations the Government will have to repay will be counted in billions of lei’, stated Serafim Urechean.
He regards the Communist governance as the most corrupt one in Moldova's history since 1990, and accused the Communists of illicit privatization ‘for peanuts’ of a whole number of essential state objects such as hotels, sanatoria, and other.
‘This is but an overt robbery of the citizenry leading to poverty. That's why it is our sacred duty to spare the country of the Communists’, said the AMN leader.
