Alexandru Dorogan - new director of Radio Moldova

On Saturday, the Observers’ Council (CO) of „Teleradio-Moldova” (TRM) Public Company elected Alexandru Dorogan as director of „Radio Moldova” with eight of nine votes in the third round of elections, DECA-press Agency informs.

From 1999 till present, Alexandru Dorogan (58 years old) was director of the Association of Electronic Press (APEL).
The new director pledges to support pluralism of opinions on „Radio Moldova”, including apply the ”golden rule” (of at least two sources) in journalistic area. Dorogan promises to create three radio channels – news, cultural-musical and one youth channel. The new director also announced he would reform and develop the „Radio Moldova International” channel.

„The emeritus journalist of the Republic of Moldova” (1991), Alexandru Dorogan, studied journalism at Kazan University (Russia). He has got a license diploma in Political Sciences. He attended radio internships in Canada, Great Britain, France and the USA. During 1991-1997, he was director of „Radio Moldova”. Dorogan dedicated 25 years of his life to „Radio Moldova”. He is one of the founders of the former municipal media trust from Chisinau that consisted of the following media structures: radio „Antena C”, TV „Euro TV”, „Info-Prim” Agency, „Capitala” newspaper, „Capitala magazin” Magazine and the editorial polygraph center „Chisinau-Prim”.

Nine persons applied for the post of director of „Radio Moldova”. The vacancy was recorded at the end of December 2009, when CO dismissed Veaceslav Gheorghisenco.
