A political scientist proposes a new formula of federalization for Moldova

The political scientist Victor Doras, ex-councillor for foreign policy of President Vladimir Voronin, proposed a new formula of federalization of Republic of Moldova, which denotes the existance of several actors equal in rights. They are as follows: Transnistria and Gagauzia, Chisinau town, the North of republic.
According to her, the regional development principle should serve as the foundation for the future federalization. This one is basic in Europe today.
The political scientist believes that only some regions strong from all points of view, especially from the financial one, could be able to assure the viability of a federation.
„The federation must not be made only for the sake of calling Moldova a federation, it is for the sake of making the country passing to a new level of development”, Doras asserts, cited by DECA-press.
He pointed out that the most prosperous states of the world are federal and declared that the federation could be a solution for many problems existing today in Moldova. // DECA-Press
