40 deputies of first Moldova's parliament joined LDPM
The Liberal Democratic Party has come to have 40 new members – deputies of the independent Moldova’s first Parliament. Among these forty are the first parliament’s speaker Alexandru Mosanu, incumbent Chairman of the Moldova Bar Association Gheorghe Amihalachioae, Chairman of the Parliament-1990 Association Petru Sandulachi, and other esteemed personalities.
The said forty were the invited guests of the party’s 3rd ordinary congress, during which they handed in their membership applications personally to the LDPM Chairman, Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat.
Much touched, Filat said, “I am convinced that many of them will be elected to LDPM governing bodies, for these are talented people who made the history of the country. The presence of such personalities in the LDPM ranks is a great honor and great value for the party”.
Petru Sandulachi stated the said personalities are interested not in high posts but in being the members of a party, in which they will be let work efficiently for consolidation of the Republic of Moldova’s statehood.
Among the congress’s other esteemed guests were the independent Republic of Moldova’s first two presidents – Mircea Snegur and Petru Lucinschi, who are showing sympathy for this party.
Mircea Snegur said that yet when the LDPM was only in the making, he came to feel it would be a successful organization, “and now, two years later, I see my intuition did not betray me then. The Liberal Democratic Party is a real force on the Moldovan political stage”.
And Petru Lucinschi said, “The party has demonstrated its undisputable success that was duly assessed by voters during parliamentary elections”.
