28 political parties could run in April 5 legislative elections
The Central Election Commission (CEC) on February 2 approved the list of social-political organizations and parties that can take part in the parliamentary elections set for April 5.
The list is to be published in the Official Gazette. It includes the parties that are now represented in the Parliament - the PCRM, AMN, PD, PPCD and the PSDM – and 23 extra-parliamentary political parties.
The CEC members will come together for a meeting on February 4 to fix the place and time when to accept the documents needed to register the election runners.
The documents will be processed by a special commission headed by the CEC secretary. The commission is composed of five CEC members and three members of the CEC apparatus.
