On July 29, 2009, early parliamentary elections are held in the Republic of Moldova and 101 members of the Parliament are elected. Polling stations are opened from 7:00 to 21:00. 8 political parties are participating in elections. The threshold for representation in the Parliament is 5% of the valid votes cast for parties. Elections are declared valid if the voter turnout exceeds 33% of registered voters.
